eid viewer doesnt see cardreader(s) #7

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open eid-viewer
2. insert belgian eid
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expect to see that eid-viewer detects the reader and reads the eid
instead : eid-viewer shows 'gelieve een cardreader aan te sluiten'

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
4.0.4.146, installed using the 64bit .deb on a Ubuntu 12.04 64bit system

Please provide any additional information below.
i tried with the integrated reader (thinkpad W530) and using an external usb
cardreader, none of these is detected
using pcsc_scan i can see both readers and when i insert/remove my eid this is
immediately shown by pcsc_scan

when i use firefox to connect to the CM site (for example) this works OK both
with the integrated and usb cardreader (so i think the problem lies with the
eid-viewer and not with the cardreader or drivers)

this is the output of pcsc_scan when i move my eid from the usb > the
