Each line of the Gen 3 codes is considered a ROM patch, and most emulators do not have support to multiple patches. I recommend using the codes on Visual Boy Advance-M v. 2.1.5 (or higher), catching your shiny pokémon, then exporting the save battery to your prefered emulator. The codes do not work on the original Visual Boy Advance v. 1.8.0.
Hi tried it with VBA v2.1.9. Got a shiny treecko but it's flagged as PID mismatch, which other codes do as well. Can't figure out what i'm doing wrong. Also, what type of code is this? There's generic code, Gameshark, Codebreaker and Flashcart CHT to choose from. Appreciate the reply and help btw
I just tried the codes for starters and PKHEX did not flag a PID mismatch. Save your game before going to route 101 without any cheat code on the list, close the emulator to refresh the loaded ROM, open the emulator, load your save file, enter route 101, enter the cheat codes (select Gameshark) and pick your starter. It's important to activate the codes AFTER entering route 101 due to a Gen 3 exclusive mechanism called VRAM, which affects the game RNG. Remember that Emerald RNG is fixed, so you will always get the exact same pokémon if you wait the exact same amount of time before choosing your pokémon. If you want your shiny with different natures/IVs, walk around in Littleroot Town before activating the codes (the codes freeze the RNG for the time being they are on).
Hi just found the time to reply. I wanted to say everything is working as intended (the platinum roamers were giving a tough time) and thank u so much for the codes.
The emerald code for starters and stationary legendaries isn’t working on delta emulator. The platinum ones work tho.
Edit: tried on mgba 0.10.0 too and still couldn't get rayquaza to be shiny. Hope there's something that can be done about the emerald codes as the one for Platinum is the only code I have found to work to get legal roaming shinies. Thanks mate!
