Grass not growing #96

This does not look like the original. If you looked at the two of them, and decided this is good enough, I disagree. I won’t contact the author for permission until I can point to the site and the use a good version of her example. Thanks.

There were lots of issues in adapting with Mandy's original, which is quite old in variable font terms:

One of the big things I have noticed is that the first time I looked at Mandy's demo a few months ago, it was not "thick" like it is now, presumably because the browser had not yet implemented the mapping of CSS font-weight onto the wght axis. It took me quite a while to figure out why hers is "thick" at all, because I couldn't replicate in ours. Turns out it's because that earlier Decovar used wght for the stem thickness, but the new one has changed that to WMX2. Hers is picking up the default <h1> bold weight and applying that to the variable settings. My copy of it didn't do that, and in fact ours is closer to what I remember hers looking like earlier.

Anyway, I have managed to fix all of these issues, I think, in our copy.
