Agreed, to an extent. Definitely keep an eye on my commit comments. They are not mundane, and generally say exactly what happened in each specific commit. I micro-commit frequently, after making single scopes of changes, to make the commit history actually useful as...well...commit history (and therefore it's also a very accurate change log). I'll probably write up a more formal change log, though, for some things, to make it a little more easily accessible to everyone.
I follow along with your commits (as you could see by the other PR), and am highly appreciative of smaller commits that show what changes.
However.... some people don't follow that closely and only look at the release DLLs, so maybe we should note there as well as a changelog file.
There should be a changelog of when things are going to break, and maybe new features as well?
