It seems like the system is not fully copied into ssd.
I replaced this ssd drive at very first, so I don’t have any experience for this drive's installation, but judging from other people’s views:
developers, including OC, have clearly said that this solid-state firmware has hackintosh compatibility problems, and even they do not recommend it.
Although the new version of NVMeFix.kext has a repair on pm981/pm981a, there are still problems such as not being able to enter the system, or getting stuck soon after entering the system, and automatically restarting, which leads to too many unpredictable problems.
There are patching methods for this drive, try search it on google, it basically restore the system that already installed into your drive. After installing the restored system, add ssdt-nvme.aml and HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_6_sec2018-001.kext patching method, the principle is the same as nvmefix.kext. Although it can enter the system, there are also problems with this and that...., and these problems will emerge in use, which seriously affects the use.
I am trying to install macOS Big sur on my razer blade 15 base 2021, but the installer keeps freezing at 13 minutes left. It seems that my ssd drive, the samsung pm981a may be causing that problem, even when nvmefix readme says it is already compatible with that drive. I've used OpenCore with dortania's guide. Any suggestion on how to install macOS without having to switch the drive?
