Also, there are several sentences between "I know of three reasons." and the actual reasons. I believe the reading would be easier if the reasons were numbered. This may cause formatting issues as your headings include code, but I think it's easier to understand what the points are when they're explicitly numbered. There also isn't a significant visual difference between markdown's # and its ##.
