This message provides a few additional details beyond those described on the hackathon's home page (note we now have a finalised agenda which provides more time for you to pitch your topic ideas: https://github.com/U-Shift/cyclingpotential-hack#agenda ) and a few actions that you can do do now and over the coming weeks.

Actions you should take take now:

• Ensure you have a GitHub account and sign-in here: https://github.com/
• Take a look at some of the proposed hack topics here and add a comment under the topic you're most interested in (simply to say "I'm interested in this topic" or to ask a question): https://github.com/U-Shift/cyclingpotential-hack/issues
• If you would like to propose a topic, create a new issue (don't worry, you can always edit it later)

Actions you should take over the coming week:

• Ensure you can reproduce the updated reproducible example here: https://github.com/U-Shift/cyclingpotential-hack/blob/master/code/reproducible-example.R - if you do not get results like those shown here, please open an issue explaining what didn't work and others can try to help before the hackathon
• Make sure you have had a good read of the resources outlined in the Before signing-up section. In particular, you should try to reproduce the results in the PCT Training course and the code in Chapter 12 of Geocomputation with R

We'll be using Zoom for the hackathon so make sure you've got that working and that your audio-visual technologies are in good working order. We're excited to host you all in the worlds first virtual cycling potential hackathon.
