In this github editor and many others I have worked with, if one wants to italicize a string, one select it and presses the "I" button, alternatively: select and Ctrl+i.
In eMath, the selected string is removed and an empty "" appears. Similar behavior is shown by the other buttons. It would be nice if use of those buttons were to conform to the use of those buttons in other editors.
