Invocation of ISO's #147

In read mode links to ISO's don't always behave as expected. Example: In "Sequences and Series" the page "Convergence and Limit of a Sequence" contains multiple links to ISO's.

When following a link to an ISO, the existing ISO should be minimized and the new ISO should appear. Often times, the existing ISO remains. If I minimize the existing ISO manually, the another ISO (not necessarily the one I wanted) appears.

I tested a few times but I didn't meet this bug, maybe you can show me in our next meeting. I will mark this issue as "discuss later".

I think of a possible reason. Next time you encounter this situation, you can try to scroll down. It may be displayed below the current grid.

Your guess is correct: The new ISO's are stacked below the previously opened ones. I thought, at one time we had achieved that there is always only one ISO open. All the others are minimized and are accessible via the drawer which comes in from the left. At one time we declared this to be the simplest way of solving the problem of managing open ISOs.

What we have is when you open an ISO or indexed item, the previous window will be replaced by the new one, and it will be archived to the minimized window. If you open something in the minimized window, the previous window will move down. So for now, you would like to only have one window opened on the right, no matter it is an ISO or something in the minimized window?

Indeed, it seems least complicated if, on the right only one window is open at any given time. So, it a new link is being followed, the existing open window on the right gets minimized, and the new target appears on the right. If we stack windows on the right, we will need to scroll vertically with the global scroller. This has the effect that what we are looking at on the left disappears. So, that's what I would like to avoid. - In short, following a link should only have the desired effect of providing new information, without the side-effect of changing how we access existing master information on the left.
