Page unresponsive

Both in edit and in read mode, I get the error

• "page unresponsive", using chrome. - Visibly, \newcommands aren't processed
• "this page is slowing firefox down" - Also: \newcommands aren't rendered.

The menu link is unresponsive. No edit functions seem to be available.
