Syllabics don't persist on search #28

When searching with syllabics, the text disappears from the search bar after searching is completed. This should not happen--the text should persist like it does in the other orthographies.

This issue was first described in #6.

Except now they do? We changed the search bar so this issue might be fixed. We will continue to monitor this just in case and reopen this issue if it comes back.
