Section 11.4.2: “If the circle is empty (⬤) the kernel is idle and ready to execute code. If the circle is filled in (◯) the kernel is busy running some code.”
I think the symbols in the brackets should be flipped
Section 11.8: Figure 11.14 is referenced before 11.13 in the text; perhaps we should switch them
Chapter 12
I really like the new figures in this chapter!
Figure 12.1
In the text below the figure it says "In the local and remote repositories shown in Figure 12.1, there are two commits represented as gray circles." but they aren't grey circles anymore
I'm not sure how helpful the orange arrow is in the picture... I'm wondering if it's a little confusing. I guess it's supposed to show the latest history, but I don't know if it's entirely clear in that figure. I think because it's orange and big it really draws the attention in every figure that it is in. Since it's not always the focus or main point of the figure, it might be confusing to the reader. They may think its pointing to something specific in the figure that we want them to pay attention to. Perhaps we should replace it with something else? (and in subsequent figures with the arrow)
The plus symbol under local repository should be an “or” (same with Figure 12.2, 12.5, 12.6, 12.7)
Section 12.6.3
I think the link in this sentence is broken "Note that GitHub understands and renders .md files using a markdown syntax very similar to Jupyter notebooks, so the “Preview” tab is especially helpful for checking markdown code correctness."
We should reference the figure number in this sentence "To select the files from your local computer to upload, you can either drag and drop them into the gray box area shown below, or click the “choose your files” link to access a file browser dialog. "
Figure 12.20: Why is there a gray bar near the bottom of the figure?
