It is indeed a great idea to incorporate job-related information into a dashboard. The colour scale makes a lot of sense when representing the average salary in different states across the U.S. Below are some comments that I would like to share:
The concept of "Median of Maximum" seems to be a bit confusing to me. I think either Median or Maximum can be easier to interpret, and more statistically meaningful.
The Slider blends with the background colour due to the lack of contrast.
After selecting a time range, the numbers around the slider is a bit crowded. Maybe consider removing the actual value of the selected range? Or to make it visible only when the user's hovering over the lower bound and upper bound?
It was only when I scrolled down that I finally found the charts. The charts contain a lot of information, so I think there can be some design that guide users to the charts.
