Hey Group 211. I really enjoyed your dashboard and thought it was really well done. I decided to focus on the four principles of: 1) "aesthetics matter" 2) "add a narrative and signposts" 3) "consistent layout", and 4) "think about the onboarding experience".

1: "Aesthetics Matter"

• Overall, your app could use more styling to make it more visually appealing. To be specific, the text boxes could be made to look more distinct from the graphs to make sections more distinct.
• Your graphs visually look really great. The x-axes of your time series plots are really easy to read. You have monthly data and managed to not overcrowd your axes!
• Instead of using text boxes completely, a lot of the information could have been hidden as clickable boxes (for more information) or as mouseover hovers (perhaps denoted with the universal information symbol "i"). Specifically, much of the information on the "About Our Data" tab could have been hidden away.
• There are some grammatical errors in your app.

2: "Add a narrative and signposts"

• The overall narrative of the app is easy to understand as one makes their way through the tabs. The exploration of "price vs. growth" is well thought out and can be followed quite easily, even for those with limited backgrounds in finance.
• One thing I am a bit confused about is the explicit mention of "From 2000 to 2010, Apple's stock price increased 760%." To me, it is not very clear as to why this is pointed out when later this is essentially restated again in the next tab. Stating that "Google has the highest price over the past ..." and then contrasting this misleading fact in the last tab with price vs. growth would have really driven home the point of price being misleading.

3: "Consistent layout"

• The layout is intuitive and logical. I really liked the "timeline slider" that you included and the placement in particular. By placing it in between the two graphs that it is linked to, everything is easy to see all at once. Overall, this is very effective.
• One minor issue I noticed is that the last graph on the second graph doesn't align with the other two graphs if I select only a few companies.

4: "Think about the onboarding experience"

• You did a great job explaining the functionality of your app. In particular, the timeline slider on the second tab is a creative and very intuitive way to filter the data by time. This feature felt very natural for me to use.
• The actual description of your dataset at the beginning (especially plotting some values of each time series to see the index of each series) is really helpful in understanding what the next two tabs are actually displaying.
