Persona Provide 3 pieces of constructive feedback that could help the app to be better suited to the scenario it was designed for

• The app has plots for rating for genre, rating over time, top actors, and rating for countries, which are very well suited for the scenario as written in the proposal.
• For the Top Actors plot, it would be nice to be able to see which best rated movie it is when hovering over the bars. Maybe a producer would like to know what sort of role the actor had in the movie.
• There are a lot of similarly rated movies. I wonder if this would end up hiding some actors in the Top Actors plot when there are more actors than the space allowed for the same rated movies.

Provide 3 pieces of constructive feedback that could help the app to be better suited to the user(persona) it was designed for

• Instead of using a drop down for the region selection, perhaps it would be easier and more intuitive for the user to select by directly clicking(or dragging) on the map.
• In conjunction to the above, the map is a little small for the smaller regions. Maybe there could be a way to click on certain regions of the map to show a enlarged overlay.
• It's not immediately clear to me what "top" actors are based on. Are they the leading actors for a movie? Can multiple actors from the same movie be listed? There could be more indication to this problem so the user can more easily understand the plot.

Frontend / layout

Is the text (plot labels / titles / subtitles) easy to read?

• Yes.

Are the plots selected appropriate for the data? Can you think of other alternatives or improvements for the plots regarding interactivity/reactivity or plot selection?

• Bar plot for the rating per genre is appropriate and clearly show the range of values the ratings take
• Line plot is appropriate to show trend in time.
• There could be an alternative way of showing best actors. Instead of limiting to top N number of actors, you could list out actors for top N rated movies.

Was the dashboard organized in a way that was easy to read (columns / rows) or you would suggest a change in this sense?

• Layout is very organized and easy to navigate.
• If you select too many regions the dropdown expands and covers up the sliders. Maybe move the select region section to the bottom.

Would you prefer including tabs / navbars to improve the navigation or you think it is better to visualize everything in one screen by the nature of the content?

• Being able to see everything is very nice to allow for a general overview Are the plots or other images described properly for the persona described?
• Plots are all properly described for the persona.

Backend

Are the options that you can select in the widgets working fine or have you found some cases where it is not working?

• All the widgets worked, although selecting Y-axis and genre are really slow (not sure if there is anything you can do about it)
• "Average Rating by Genre over Time" -> the title should update when you select the y-axis.

Documentation

Was the documentation easy to understand from the README.md how to use the app? How could the documentation be improved?

• The documentation is easy to understand.
• The gif shows very clearly how to use the app.

Was the app intuitive to use without reading the documentation? What information could be good to include?

• The app was intuitive to use
• The dropdown for selecting region could have some clearer indication of which region is being selected.

Indicate something you would like to include in your own app after reviewing this one

• The layout of this app is very clean and organized, and I think I would take some inspiration from this for my own app.
