Persona

Provide 3 pieces of constructive feedback that could help the app to be better suited to the scenario it was designed for:

• Show current top choice (most recent year) to indicate what is the trend for the current favorite dog breed.
• Show more other real pictures of the selected dog breed so the kids/parents can visualize what it is gonna look like
• Show puppy version of the selected dog so they will more likely to pick it for their kids

Provide 3 pieces of constructive feedback that could help the app to be better suited to the user(persona) it was designed for:

• Dog professionals probably already know the different dog traits but I think it can be more friendly to have a description of the selected dog breeds (other traits that were not used in the trait selection, like average life span, loyalty, intelligence)
• Can have a randomly generated button (since someone who is new to dog traits may want a Surprise Me button)
• Can have some example dog breed (with some descriptions) shown somewhere so that new dog owners can click on them to read about them before making a selection (to explore).

Is the text (plot labels / titles / subtitles) easy to read?

• Yes

Are the plots selected appropriated for the data? Can you think of other alternatives or improvements for the plots regarding interactivity/reactivity or plot selection?

• The trend plot can be better represented like in change in ranking instead of the raw rank (where rank 120 and rank 1 on the same graph showing a huge gap between the lines)

Was the dashboard organized in a way that was easy to read (columns / rows) or you would suggest a change in this sense?

• Yes the over layout is good, users can quickly pick up how to use it without a user manual.

Would you prefer including tabs / navbars to improve the navigation or you think it is better to visualize everything in one screen by the nature of the content?

• No a tab will be difficult in this case since the information will be broken into tabs which user has to constantly going back and forth

Are the plots or other images described properly for the persona described?

• Yes, the text are very friendly and encouraging for dog lovers / parents and kids.

Backend Are the options that you can select in the widgets working fine or have you found some cases where it is not working? If there are interactive plots: are the labels clear and easy to understand?

• Widget is good but the size of each area is too short (height) where scroll bars are everywhere.
• The Top 5 recommended Dog breeds chart can't return to chart once click on it to show the dog picture. [BUG]

Documentation

Was the documentation easy to understand from the README.md how to use the app? How could the documentation be improved?

• No completely, the Usage section in the README can show an image of the different widgets to explain how they work instead of one long description of the usage. But the dashboard is simple enough so it is good.

Was the app intuitive to use without reading the documentation? What information could be good to include?

• Yes, the control is kind of in order so user can follow along
• Extra (real) pictures / short descriptions of the selected dog breed

Indicate something you would like to include in your own app after reviewing this one

• A data table, in our app we can include a summary statistic table regarding the survey respondents. It won't be a data table of the survey responses but some summary statistics.
