Hi Group 17 this is your peer feedback from Group 16.

Feedback Persona/Motivation Starting off much like the persona your team has provided in the example, to evaluate this we are assuming a persona of a relatively new football fan who also dabbles in sports betting. He wants to know more about football players so that he can better formulate strategies on how to bet.

What is Done Well

• The filters/dropdowns all seem to be linked and working well together.
• The bar charts at the bottom give me a good quick overview of information on a team level
• From the point of the persona, maybe I just wanted to get a quick understanding of a match that I want to bet on but I don’t know which team is better. By ranking by overall and then looking to see where the team stands, I might be able to get a quick snapshot of which team I should bet on.
• Intuitive, I know what I’m looking at and its quite easy to use

Improvements

• Having taken a look at the dataset, I think the information displayed is good. I think most of the important improvements relate more to usability, hopefully it isn’t too difficult to implement.
• The main board/table seems to be bit of an older style.
• The wage/value data columns are a bit hard to read at first glance because there aren’t any commas and all have a decimal point at the end (the decimal point seems a bit unnecessary with the high values being shown)
• When I change the rank by column, it changes the bar charts at the bottom which is really neat. But because of where they’re located right now I didn’t notice that feature until I really started to use the app.
  • Reading the teams on the x-axis is a bit difficult currently, perhaps switching the x and y axis would help.

Overall, great work this is a very neat dataset and app. It’s fully functional and helps display information in a way that would help someone described in the persona section. Good luck with the rest of the project!

Thank you @micahkwok for the thoughtful feedback! Happy to know you enjoyed our dashboard and hope you've had some fun with it. And yes I agree the style needs some improvement and so is the wage/value column. We will work on that!

As for the bar charts, we might change the layout and use a tab switch to combine the two plots (which hopefully makes it more visible). We're gonna add some scatterplot visuals to it as well.
