This is a collaborative repository for DSCI_532 Data Visualization II Group 6 in 2021. We are building up and deploying a dashboard to help potential customers make wise purchase on wine products.
Congrats on completing milestone 3! You've made some great progress with the layout and the plots are all more useful now than in the first iteration. I think you've struck a pretty good balance between showing too much info and still providing enough useful info, although I'll be interested to see if you can find a way to squeeze in some of the more specific single item level info. As far as improvements go, here are a few ideas:
For M4 you could match up the purples a bit better. Maybe also give a bit more padding below the card+plots so they're not bordering up on the bottom of the window
Barplot tooltip currently has small bug showing function call info
Tooltips could be made more informative by showing (e.g.) the number of wines included in each aggregated point/bar, rather than specifying variety of that point/bar which is already clear from the colour.
Your app runs pretty slow on heroku, probably due to constantly reaggregating data. It could be fun to try some of the optimization stuff Joel mentioned. That said, this is a minor issue and it's fast locally, so don't stress about it
