first-come, first served seemed fair at the time, but it led to some people waiting a long time for a question that only took 2 minutes, but I think this may be specific to technical/installation issues as opposed to future office hours which may be more focused towards worksheet help etc.
the breakout rooms worked as expected, though it seems that students are not helping each other out/working together in the main room, so we could use the zoom waiting room instead
I was infact able to assign students to breakout rooms after initial assignment
the harder to resolve issues were problems with the IRkernel

to add onto this:
It was a bit a limitation that as co-host I could only enter 1 room at a time
@Diana (TA) maybe we can use the main room as a 1-1 room, with just every student muted except one. That way at least they can listen in on the help and maybe that will be useful. That way also the co-host can freely "enter" each room
Yes installation pains were more difficult to handle this year than last. Definitely being online contributed to that. I think I am a bit too unfamiliar with jupyter lab/notebooks to be that much help with those issues

I like the idea of having other students muted, I think that could help others as well, maybe we could use one breakout room + the main room since there’s still two TAs?
