"Recent News" displaying incorrectly #111

Recent News block seems to be buggy.

Example below is from this Stage page: https://stage.library.ucdavis.edu/health/

In the Editor

I did some further testing to help pinpoint this issue on a page called "News Tests" on sandbox: https://sandbox.library.ucdavis.edu/news-tests/

These are two most sussy results:

It shouldn't be pulling in pages at all (index + current page), since it's a "recent news" block, right?

Screen Shot 2022-05-26 at 9 26 40 AM It just shows the page the widget is on if I do nothing. When I change the display quantity on default view to any other number but 5, it shows up fine. If I change ti back to 5, it goes back to this single page listing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
