which seems to be a more developer-centric version of the documentation?

Is anybody looking at this? Is it possible to get data that goes back further in time?

We should have some internal documentation about all of these "features" ...

I'll be honest: I had long forgotten about the first page, and never was aware of that second sub page!

But indeed: it makes good sense to signpost there!
