Not all hits appearing on website #61

Hi Asif, It's taking too long, but I have started to try to put things together about how much more of the proteome is hit by HHyeast. The data file is just about managed by Excel - despite having almost 280000 lines.

While working on this, I though I should let you known that I spotted something odd on the HHyeast website. Should I tell you or Ilektra? Basically, only a subset of the hits are shown on the website. I'm looking at VPS13 / YLL040C as usual.

The domains in your file are in the attached Excel file (and they are also in the attached HHyeast download file). Some of them do not appear in the Yeast site. And it I set a threshold for only domains with pSS≥90%, then it is even clearer: http://hhyeast.ucl.ac.uk:5000/VPS13?prob=0.9&ovm=10&ovm1=0.1. I cannot work out what has happened to the 5 domains with pSS>90% between the start and residue 1675 All the best, Tim

Because all those Pfam hits have the name of the protein "VPS13" in them.

OK - now I get it... all part of the pattern!
