Depends, I think there are 2 scenarios.

  1. Spin up a mock OpenIGTLink server that we can connect to manually.
  2. Fully automated, within CI infrastructure,

So, probably worth a bit of a conversation with @RemiDelaunay, and RSDG to see what's possible/worth it.

Perhaps the easiest way to do that is to use the Sequences extension in Slicer which allows to record and replay data on Slicer (more details on this tutorial: Replay recorded data)
