Merges ageorgou/python-test-runner -> python-test-runner

Note: high number of changed files is due to removing some internal files that I think shouldn't be tracked!

Main changes:

• Change tests to remove unnecessary (in my view!) dependencies and hierarchies
• Resolve linting errors
• Stop tracking .tox/ and .coverage internal files, and remove them

Remaining issues (more details in commit messages):

• Currently have two descriptions of each test: docstring and printed message. Do we want to print the output (matching previous behaviour) or be more silent?
• We have no way of deleting the needle models we create, so the tests don't run in isolation. This caused some name-clash warnings in the previous version, which are now resolved, but the underlying cause is still there.
• The test configuration in tox.ini doesn't actually run these tests - instead, it runs coverage with an empty pytest file. This isn't easy to replace if we still want to use coverage because we currently have to run the tests through Slicer.
