Sketch for CAD Casing Design

Objective

Create a preliminary sketch for a CAD casing to securely mount the following components:

• Payload SDK Skyport 2.0 & Expansion Board
• Voltage Regulator
• UP 7000
• USRP B200mini-i
• Nooelec LaNA
• NEO-M9N
• ACTPAT154-01-IP
• SiK Telemtry Radio V3

The casing will attach to the DJI Matrice 300 RTK using the Skyport mount. Details on the Skyport mounting can be found here.

Design Requirements

• The SMA connector for the omnidirectional antenna on Nooelec LaNA MUST be accessible on the front side of the casing.
• The ACTPAT154-01-IP MUST be facing upwards and atop the casing.
• The SiK Telemetry Radio V3 antenna MUST be accessible from the bottom of the casing.
• The casing SHOULD meet an Ingress Protection of 43.
• The casing MUST have a USB Type-A port accessible outside the case on the left, right, or back for a USB thumb drive.
• The casing MUST use stainless steel socket heads if socket heads are needed.

Tasks

1. Component Research: Gather each component's dimensions, mounting, and potential heat dissipation needed.
2. Review Designs: Review previous designs for different hardware on the NAS.
3. Sketch Development: Create a layout showing: - Component placement
   • Mounting points
   • Cable routing paths

• A detailed sketch
• A brief report on design considerations and potential issues
