As a gold member, we have 15 spots for online instructor-training. I'm not sure how we go about using them, or coordinating schedules, but this might be something to advertise to folks for the upcoming year.

Maneesha Sane (at the Carpentries) is also looking for ~2 months leadtime for planning the in person instructor training, so this is something the board should be thinking about towards end of October and into November.

At the Aug. 20 board meeting, we decided that the best way to manage this would be to:

Send out an announcement for the instructor training as usual, but add language that online training is also available for those who can't do the in-person training.
Collect applications and select participants using our usual criteria with the online spots as additional seats.
