Get volcanic text through review. Update Tables Hazard_Layer_Information.csv HazardIntroTextTable.csv HazardReferenceTextTable.csv HazardUnitTextTable.csv - You will see the volcanic hazard codes starting on line 101

They are all located here :

G:\Shared drives\UGS_AGRC_Projects\Hazards Application\20200401_Report_Tables

Add volcanic hazards to online app

Text has been reviewed by Stephanie. Coded text is located here G:\Shared drives\UGS_Hazards_Geotech\Geologic Hazards Online Data Custom Report Tool Text_MASTER CODED and Static Text_MASTER - CODED Volcanic hazards section only

@marthajensen will review coded text then @JCastleton will fill in these tables Hazard_Layer_Information.csv HazardIntroTextTable.csv HazardReferenceTextTable.csv HazardUnitTextTable.csv -

marthajensen commented 3 years ago

@JCastleton I finished my review (Please check Geothermal Hazards #2 to make sure that's what you wanted)

I fixed the following things in the Custom Report Tool Text_MASTER CODED document Volcanic Features

  1. HazardIntroTextTable section : I added html bolding to How to Use This Map and More Information
  2. HazardUnitTextTable.Descriptions: I fixed a couple HTML spacing issues
  3. HazardReferenceTextTable: I fixed a couple HTML spacing issues (specifically removed these image between a few references so that there weren't extra spaces)

Geothermal Hazards

  1. HazardIntroTextTable section : I added html bolding to How to Use This Map and More Information
  2. HazardUnitTextTable: I revised the GTWTHR section to make it red and have the correct spacing. The coding I added is:

This is great. Who reviews next?

Hey Marshall - just wanted to follow up on this review and see if there is anything I need to do.

Thanks! Jessica

Sorry for the delays, it's still on the list of to-dos. I don't think there is anything for you to do at this point though.

Thanks for checking in though.

@JCastleton do you mind looking over the changes I made in the Custom Report Tool Text_MASTER CODED document (the changes are listed in this github thread)? If you are happy with them, please move the text into the 4 tables.

Once that is done, let me know. Thanks!

JCastleton commented 3 years ago

The following tables are complete: Hazard_Layer_Information HazardIntroTextTable.csv HazardReferenceTextTable.csv HazardUnitTextTable.csv

Static text for @jjhi11

Volcanic Hazards

Volcanic Features These areas show where volcanic features associated with active volcanoes, including volcanic eruptions of lava, ash, steam, rocks (pyroclastics) and volcanic cones. Utah has had active volcanism in the past, but currently has no active volcanoes.

Geothermal Hazards These areas show where geothermal springs are located. This hazard consists of high, warm, and low temperature springs.

@marthajensen @marshallrobinson The tables are complete and this should be ready to publish

JCastleton commented 3 years ago

@marthajensen Volcanic feature classes added to final version of map VolcanicCones HotSprings Volflw

Saved as a 10.7 version here: G:\Shared drives\UGS_Hazards_MapPortal\Hazards Portal\LIVE Geodatabase

marthajensen commented 3 years ago

@JCastleton

Hi Jessica - just to confirm the data location of your new tables, they are located here: G:\Shared drives\UGS_Hazards_Geotech\Geologic Hazards Online Data\Final_Report_Tables

Correct? I was reading through this thread, and it looked like when we started the thread, we were still using the old table location.... that's why I wanted to check.

marthajensen commented 3 years ago

@jjhi11

I have published two temporary feature services to start to incorporate the new volcanic data into the app and the report. The two new feature services are below (I didn't create Views since we are going to overwrite the original feature services when we are ready). I also added new information to the Hazard_Layer_Info feature service - but I overwrote that one.

Report Tables temporary replacement: https://services.arcgis.com/ZzrwjTRez6FJiOq4/arcgis/rest/services/ReportTabletest/FeatureServer N

Volcanic and geothermal data in the following tables: HazardGroupingsTable (HazardCode - VOL and THR) HazardGroupTextTable (HazardGroup - Volcanic) HazardIntroTextTable (Hazard - VOL and THR) HazardReferenceTextTable (code VOL and THR) HazardUnitTextTable (HazardName - Volcanic; multiple codes for HazardUnit)

Utah Geologic Hazards temporary replacement: https://services.arcgis.com/ZzrwjTRez6FJiOq4/arcgis/rest/services/test_hazards/FeatureServer

Volcanic Hazards: Volcanic Cones (layer id - 21) Hot Springs (22) Undifferentiated Volcanic Flow (23) --all features have a relationship with the Unit_Descriptions table (20) thanks to @marshallrobinson for reminding me to set unique ID's on each layer so that they don't change when new layers are added - the Unit_Descriptions table has the same layer_id it always did.

Hazard_Layer_Information: I overwrote this feature service https://services.arcgis.com/ZzrwjTRez6FJiOq4/arcgis/rest/services/Hazard_Layer_Info/FeatureServer Two new rows of data were added - Volcanic Hazards and Geothermal Hazards

marthajensen commented 3 years ago

@JCastleton After talking to you, this comment is just for record for the future -Each feature class in the Hazard service is required to have a unique Hazard Code. The Hazard Code is the first 3 letters of the "Feature","HazardUnit", and "HazardLabel" fields in the feature class. The Hazard Code also needs to be checked in the Unit Descriptions table and the 5 report tables: HazardGroupingsTable (HazardCode - VOL and THR) HazardGroupTextTable (HazardGroup - Volcanic) HazardIntroTextTable (Hazard - VOL and THR) HazardReferenceTextTable (code VOL and THR) HazardUnitTextTable (HazardName - Volcanic; multiple codes for HazardUnit)

We have 3 feature classes in the volcanic data, but only 2 hazard codes (VOL and THR). A new code needs to be added to one of the feature classes and throughout the tables.

JCastleton commented 3 years ago

I created a VCN code for volcanic cones and domes. I have changed the 2 word docs the hazardintrotexttable, reference text table, and HazardGroupingsTable. Unit text table should stay the same and it looks like there is no field for it in group text table. I made the changes to the tables here G:\Shared drives\UGS_Hazards_Geotech\Geologic Hazards Online Data\Final_Report_Tables.

@gordondouglass will need to change the attribute table headings for the volcanic cones feature class replacing VOL with VCN. The data filling the table in can hopefully remain the same just the headings change

marthajensen commented 3 years ago

@gordondouglass can you also change the Unit_Descriptions table for the volcanic cones? Once you are done, please add the corrected data to the LIVE version of the gdb and I will republish. Thank you!

gordondouglass commented 3 years ago

Everything done with the volcanic cones and domes. Feature class's and Unit_Descriptions tables updated with the new codes in both GDB's

marthajensen commented 3 years ago

@gordondouglass

Can you change the field names to VCN too? They are still VOL - thanks

gordondouglass commented 3 years ago

I did not did not realize I needed to do that will do that today.

@JCastleton I noticed that some of the QFF references in the HazardReferenceTextTable are using a link for the old "Quaternary Faults and Folds" application. The old Qfaults app has been retired and those references need to be replaced with something else. What should we replace that reference with?

Also - I added a VCN code to the MappedAreas table and fixed one of the references with a broken link in the HazardReferenceTextTable.

gordondouglass commented 3 years ago

Thanks Martha - Forgot about the MappedAreas FC

@marthajensen I think we can just delete it from QFF and SFR it is being replaced by this app. I will check with Emily and see if we want to reference the USGS database but for now lets delete.
