The geotiff of Soldiers Pass 7.5 map, UGS Map 235 that is available on UGS website is not registered properly.
The basemap for this geologic map was a custom basemap that was created from Soldiers Pass DRG in NAD83, projected to NAD27 and then clipped to NAD27 boundary. A missing slice to the West was added from Goshen Pass DRG. Therefore, the boundary of this map matches NAD27 Soldiers Pas boundary but the internal tick mars are in NAD83.
The geotiff that is available on the UGS web is registered with assumption that all the tick marks were in NAD27. Which in turn created the problem that geologic lines close to to the western and eastern boundary are correct but are shifted closer to the center.
The same problem exists on Interactive Map Portal. The lines on Soldiers Pass 7.5 are shifted in comparison to Provo 30x60 (which in some areas used the linework from Soldiers Pass 7.5 map). On the included screen shot you can see the same lines (a thrust fault and a fold axis) from Soldiers Pass map and their ghost lines from Provo 30x60, pointed by green arrows.
I correctly re-registered the geotiff in NAD27 (original projection of the UGS Map 235) and projected to WGS84 (the original projection of geotiff on UGS website for download). Both files are here

The file size is kind of big, since I don't know what are your needs.

What did you expect to happen?
Please replace the geotiff of Soldiers Pass on UGS website in download locations and on the Interactive Map Portal with the provided geotiff. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/153lfL3yLPJrc_DoaCQugnWR08X6A0huy?usp=share_link Thaaanks!
