I need to replace old data in the app with an updated set of data #1

Hello,

NWI updates their database twice a year with new wetlands layers that I want to then update our wetland mapper with (if there are new projects in Utah). These layers should just replace the old layers and should be structured exactly the same as the old layers.

The NWI layers that need to be updated in the wetland mapping application can be found here: U:\GWP\Wetland\GIS\NWI\UtahWetlandsMap.gdb. There are updates for the following layers:

  1. UT_Wetlands
  2. UT_Wetlands_Metadata
  3. UT_Wetlands_nonRiverine
  4. UT_Wetlands_Riverine

Once the data is updated, the the sentence in the application under Database Contents, and then Wetland Mapping that reads: Wetland data are derived from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Wetlands Inventory(NWI) and are up-to-date as of.... should be changed to have the date read May 1, 2020.

The old wetland datasets were overwritten with this years NWI data. The service is at; https://webmaps.geology.utah.gov/arcgis/rest/services/Wetlands/Wetland_Mapping/MapServer

I created a new geodatabase, reprojected all the data into WGS 84 and built new maps.

@wetlandsDiane, does everything look good in regards to this new data now?

marthajensen commented 4 years ago

@wetlandsDiane Did the wetland acres in the popup always show this many decimal places? image

I'm guessing they should be shortened - how many decimal places would you like to show?

wetlandsDiane commented 4 years ago

@marthajensen, it would be great to have the acres show up with just two numbers after the decimals.

@marthajensen, what is the best way to check the new data? Can I check it in the app?

marthajensen commented 4 years ago

@wetlandsDiane Yes check the data in the app - it should be live now.. I'll republish the datasets with acres with two decimal places

wetlandsDiane commented 4 years ago

the data look good, Martha! thanks

@jjhi11 or @marshallrobinson I republished the Wetlands layers - acres field with 2 decimal places. However, reducing the decimal places in the data doesn't seem to reflect in the app. Can the decimals of acres be reduced to 2 in the code? See below image

yes

I still see all the numbers after the decimal point on the mapper.
