What type of GIS Support?

Data collection app

Describe the support you requested.

We've tried editing box inventory lists in the web application, and are finding editing boxes to be a bit clunky in the web survey. Martha, I know you mentioned using Survey123 Connect as an option for editing records - Do you think this might be a more feasible option? I don't have any experience using Connect. If we install Survey123 Connect and it doesn't work out, can we go back to editing in the web survey?

When is this GIS support needed by...

11/1/2022

How Urgent is this?

Medium

If high urgency, please explain.

Hi Katie,

I do believe there is a windows desktop application for Survey 123, but it's not called Connect. Connect is the application to build the custom surveys. That being said, I haven't used the Windows application but Rosemary has and she liked it better than the other interfaces. Here is the link for it: https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/arcgis-survey123/9NBLGGH5WMRR?hl=en-us&gl=us

Let me know how it goes if you end up using it.

Thanks, Martha! I'll give it a try. The issue we're trying to resolve is when inventorying boxes out of depth order (sometimes we receive pallets where core boxes are out of order), the entries are listed in the box_inventory table out of depth order, and we're trying to figure out a way to sort the boxes by depth in the database. Although, I suppose selecting 'sort ascending' will work.

Sort ascending will sort by depth in the web app, but this isn't an option in the app on the IPad. Is it possible to inventory boxes out of depth order (if they're on a pallet out or order) and have them populate in depth order in the database? I can sort depth in ascending order in the web app table, but when trying to edit the record, the boxes show up in the editing panel in the order they were inventoried (out of depth order).
