Hi Rob,
Happy to add this licence, it seems very sensible but for the record, who is authorising the decision?
I asked Simon Hansford if there was a preference over the various different licenses used on open source projects. He deferred the decision to Nicky Stewart who has agreed on the Apache2 license.

It has been agreed that all code released to the public should use the Apache 2.0 license. Please ensure that the details are added to the bottom of the README.md file and the appropriate LICENSE file is added to the repository before it is made publicly available.
