A table could be provided a table caption to aid screen reader users navigating out of
context. This instance can be found with tables across the service. Currently the headings of
the tables, along with the first row is read out along with the dimensions. Providing a table
caption allows screen reader users to receive relevant and detailed information regarding
the purpose of the table instead of just the headings and data.
The table could be provided a name to make it more understandable for screen reader users.
