rename master to main #105

main branch should be main

I'm writing a policy right now to go in this repo that also covers the master->main renaming (very meta). I'll pop you on an early WIP PR - be really useful to get your input.

For most GitHub renaming cases we'll be waiting for the GitHub changes later this year that will make it a 'seamless experience'.

Also to be very upfront we... I... Have already set the org level default to main. So any new repos will start with a main branch

Yep I remember you did that :) It's changed 1 October anyway for all. Although you might need to set it org-wide on Azure DevOps if anyone actually puts something new there. That won't conflict with anything in the policy.

I need this for Backstage to pick up the catalogue entry. If no one has any objections by tomorrow, I'll pull the trigger on the rename.

I was looking for what to do. I think all the leads have admin, so should be able to change the branch. If you want ddc to do it we would need the change request because we dont own the repo.
