As suggested by @unknowndomain, this specifically carves out an exemption to the "non-discriminatory" wording for spaces which focus on marginalised groups (along the lines of Double Union or Heart of Code).
I think it's reasonable to interpret the words "non-discriminatory" in the context of the Equality Act but this makes it clear.
