-there has a lot of code written with the mutate an filter functions in this weeks tidy Tuesday. Creating a new and filtering data using these functions is the go to. The ggplot and all of its geoms have been used quite readily as well. Patchworks, facets as well as the adjustment or creation of new themes for this weeks plots have been reviewed in class as well.
-one package that we haven't seen yet is the ggsanskey, which was used to create this plot https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FCxMi5kWQAMPnNK?format=png&name=900x900 very cool plot, but the colors could be adjusted to make it more clear which countries he is trying to make the correlation with. It was addressed in the comments that there was a bug and i believe the creator of the package is working on it to allow for the changing of colors. Regardless, a very cool plot. I also haven't seen the geom_waffle. The library(waffle) was loaded, so assuming this isn't apart of the ggplot geoms?
-I am a fan of the map plots (i a GIS fella) so i tend to favor any plots using maps, which makes me more excited for this coming weeks Tidy Tuesday. I do like the layout and color schemes of this plot by Alan Haynes https://twitter.com/aghaynes/status/1453111502634901512/photo/1. Looking forward to work with map packages in class! I also like the lollipop chart, this is something i am going to try with my data.
-This plot https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FCxMi5kWQAMPnNK?format=png&name=900x900 although it is one i like, the need for color adjustments in order to interpret the data displayed is needed. It is in the works, but very hard to make out the connections between the left and right columns.
