I'd like to have at least "what worked for you" / "what didn't work for you" / "did this meet your goals" / "what would have helped you learn better" / "what about this helped you learn most" for each, even if it is on post-it notes; what do you think about that?
Thanks!
Yep. I like those questions.
@pschloss, @marschmi, do either of you know if we've done in-house pre/post-surveys in the past? What works well? Who else should we ask about this?
@bsmith89 In the workshops that I have participated in we have only used the Software Carpentry surveys and have not created an in-house survey. Maybe @arthur-e or @alixk might have developed their own in other workshops?
@arthur-e I have not used such a survey before but have thought it might be extremely useful for pinpointing the experience level re: R or Python.
Can you lift the survey questions from SWC for your own use? Alternatively, you might think of a list of 10 questions that would be more relevant to your workshop and give that a go.
The pre-survey has been made and distributed. I'll share it with both @aerenchyma and @celticelk.
What do we want in the way of a post-survey?
Survey shared with you two.
We've got 10 responses so far, only 7 of which are registered (rather than waitlisted).
Do we want to do any assessment for this workshop?
I removed links to SWC surveys in f526e419448c9.
