End of August workshop? #23

We have the Hatcher Library Gallery Lab reserved on Wednesday, August 31 and Thursday, September 1 for a potential workshop (3 weeks from today!). Does anyone feel that they have the capacity to plan and teach then? Is it enough time to advertise? Potential audiences could be WISE or the library, or we could run a general Data Carpentry workshop.

I moved it to the top of our planning spreadsheet. I'm happy to help out with planning and some teaching...

Actually, on second thought, I think I might be spending tomorrow evening practicing and going over stuff. So if no one objects, perhaps we can just all convene Wednesday morning before the workshop? Sorry for the change of plans.

Does anyone know how to access the Eventbrite information? We'll need to email the participants ASAP about the pre-survey, etc. I can pick up the coffee and snacks about 8ish on Wednesday, and we can meet in Hatcher before 9 (Hatcher opens at 8am).

Hi @alixk, @marcsze, @Ry4an, and @arthur-e, I have sent along the eventbrite information to you regarding the attendees and the waitlist.

Unfortunately, I do not think we will have access to the pre and post surveys if we haven't e-mail the software carpentry admin, Maneesha. In the workshops that I have hosted in the past, Maneesha has shared these with the lead instructor via e-mail. Hopefully we can have better communication with her in the future.
