1 year ago I'm thinking it's the crystal, just had the second crystal on this board go, unsure of the cause but after it stopped oscillating the noise was gone. Replaced new crystal and added 1k resistor back and the device seems to operate normally again. Can still hear the crystal it's just quieter I think.
When plugged in using USB a strange buzzing noise can be heard coming from the board. I'm not entirely sure what is causing it. Will try using non-USB power to see if I can narrow down the issue.
