Force ligatures off in input text. Fixes #164. #173

This is untested, but harmless if it doesn't work. Give it a test on your setup and let me know if this fixes #164 like I hoped.

I just tested this and verified it was broken in main and works here, by typing my own last name. So I'm merging this now.
