Unit Problems CO2 emissions #168

Closed becqui00 closed 1 year ago

Description: Minimum (night) /Maximum (day) CO2 from human metabolism. [W m-2]

https://suews.readthedocs.io/en/latest/input_files/SUEWS_SiteInfo/Input_Options.html#cmdoption-arg-MinFCMetab

My question: Is the unit [W m-2] in the description wrong, is the description in general wrong or am I wrong? Because I do not understand how to get [W m-2] when my input is CO2 from human metabolism.

Description: Emission factor for fuels used for building heating. Comment: Weekday building energy use [W m-2] Can be used for CO2 flux calculation.

https://suews.readthedocs.io/en/latest/input_files/SUEWS_SiteInfo/Input_Options.html#cmdoption-arg-EF_umolCO2perJ

My question: What is the input unit? W m-2 or [umol/J]? Because the variable itself is called [umol/J] but in the comment it is [W m-2].

Thank you for your help!

@becqui00 Thanks for pointing out the issues! As I'm less familiar with this module, I'll ask another colleague to help out. Meanwhile, please also suggest any corrections you think of.

@havum could you please have a look at this issue?

Hi! Yes, it seems that the documentation of CO2 module has not been updated. You are correct, the units for MinFCMetab/MaxFCMetab are umol s-1 cap-1, and for EF_umolCO2perJ it is umol J-1.

Thanks for spotting these issues in the document.
