Ben. Thanks; Paul, we have the required data in the Excel file I posted so pulling it should be relatively easy until we can either scrape it or get a download. Ben, if you look at the image below, I have the same data in my larger file (with image) but I didn’t send that, just the detailed in Excel. Part of the challenge will be to concatenate the legal description and pull the Block number etc. from the longer legal definition. These enhancements will likely go into the next phase and we can discuss it on Monday at the presentation.
I checked several searches of the Public Records and wasn’t able to retrieve any documents that are in the image. It returns “Sorry, image is currently not available.” In addition, the previous page before pulling images Includes the following:
Document Detail
Instrument Number: 2010E0088542 Sequence #: 0 Location Filed: INDEPENDENCE Date Received: 09/13/2010 10:17:33 AM Document Date: 07/21/2010 Document Type: WARRANTY DEED Book: 0 Page: 0 No Pgs: 2 Consideration: $0.00 Image:

This suggests to me that they will be charging (i.e., Consideration) for the data. It might be that I picked a couple that weren’t yet populated, as I checked for DE LISLE:
I did have the same experience for a number of other Grantors so this may not be operational at this time. Pam, this might be a good time to manually try to get the lien information and document how you do it. That way, we can see if an automated approach is possible and create a trail that can be used in the future. There are a number of liens that would be of interest including tax, mortgage, judgements, court, mechanics, etc. Probably a good idea to put together a list of possible liens with definitions, again for future. Thanks, Jim
PS. This might be redundant as you check
@JRDeLisle where is the Excel file? Can you email it to me?
Is this the same as #6 Looking for a data base for liens in Jackson County, Missouri
The Jackson county recorder of deeds has a look up service of public records. Properties can be searched by entering the Subdivision, lot, and block number (If any). This will return recorded documents that pertain to the property.
http://records.jacksongov.org/search.asp?cabinet=opr that is the link to the search menu
here is an image of where the lot description is located on the kcmo parcel viewer and also what parts of the legal description are required to query the Jackson county recorder of deeds system.
this is critical information to determine any liens or encumbrances etc.
