Convert readings/viewings to Perusall

It's clear that there is high variability in how much prep people do for this lab. I think we'd be better off if we:

• Picked a smaller, more focused set of readings/viewings
• Turned those into Perusall assignments

Putting this on Perusall would

• Help the students focus on specific readings in a timely manner
• Give them a structure to ask questions, and help each other by answering questions
• Put some grading "teeth" in this pre-lab

I ultimately didn't do this, at least for F21. There's just so much good material out there that it was hard to make concrete decisions.

However, they did provide useful comments in Perusall on which of these they found helpful, so that might be worth extracting with the intent of turning some of those into "required" readings in Perusall for future runnings of the course.

• Two people liked the "Vim adventures tutorial". We obviously can't Perusall that.
• One person liked the "Tour of emacs" guide.
• One person liked (in a quite thoughtful way) "Absolute beginner's guide to emacs"
• One person liked the comparison chart between vim and emacs in "Cult of vi vs church of emacs"
  • Maybe we bring some/all of that chart into the lab write-up? Or at least make that chart part of the Perusall readings?
• Four people liked Ubuntu's "Command line for beginners".
  • That's enough enthusiasm that maybe it should be a Perusall reading.
• Three people liked the "Linux tutorial - basic command line" video.
  • This could also be a Perusall "reading". This is where things get awkward, though, as we can start to require way too much, with lots of overlap.
• One person like this Git cheatsheet

One student also pointed out that CodeAcademy has courses on both git and the command line, and that you can get a free week's membership if you want to run through those two courses quick. We could mention that in the write-up.
