There are some (very simple) shell scripts there that should probably be removed. Another option would be to rename them and move them out ot the top level so they can be of use to the students, but I sort of feel like I want them to know how to do this in a "raw" form.
There are also several images and text files in that folder, and I don't think we use them all. One is a corporate logo, and so we should perhaps make it go away.
