Hello,
Thanks for reaching out. I am including a student on this conversation who has been doing most of the legwork on this project. We are now in the latter stages of putting a book together. We are trying to make a custom edition of the book by combining OpenStax with other CC resources. You can see a current-ish draft at https://cnx.org/contents/LAFHOi7u@27.1:F2xgRfpD@1/Kinetic-Energy-of-an-Object.
We currently have most all of our materials generated. We have been building the book using the CNX website which is painfully antiquated. A big problem is the time needed to publish the book to pdf. We need pdf as we are using a reading software tool, Perusall, which requires a pdf or epub. We see that openstax theoretically allows publishing to epub, but we have not been able to figure out how to do it.
We would really like a well supported OpenStax presence on GitHub. We saw a project led by yourself, but it seemed that the project was abandoned.
Thanks again for reaching out.

I am always curious about how people use our books and was wondering how you used them, and what we could do to make it easier.
Just thought I would reach out 😄
