1. Measurement Type: is defined as "The Measurement Type defines the type of a measure e.g. mass or currency" which Metadata Glossary task team noted as circular. It seems difficult to make it totally non-redundant, how about "type of measurement that groups Measurement Units based on shared characteristics" and give examples of currency (e.g., USD, EUR, CHF) and mass (e.g., kg, pound, ton) in the explanatory text?
2. Suject Field: Metadata Glossary task team proposed a "field of knowledge under which a set of Concepts and their Designations is used", but I wonder if it is necessary to include mention of Designations in the definition for the subject field (there is no link between Subject Field and Desgination in the diagram).
3. Universe and Poluation: Unit Type is defined as a "class or group of Units based on a single characteristics" (e.g., "persons"). GSIM diagram says a Universe is a specialisation of Unit Type (I guess something like "persons with an age group 15-19"), and a Population is a specilisation of Universe (I guess something like "persons with an age group 15-19 living in US in 2018). Metadata Glossary task team proposed a new definition for Universe as "specialised Unit Type, but not by time or geography" while the definition of Population is still a "total membership of a defined class of people, objects or events". I wonder if we should make the definition of Population something like "specialised Universe" to be consistent (although this is more esoteric)?
4. Variable and Represented Variable: in the GSIM diagram, Represented Variable "measures" Universe, but in the definition, it is "combination of a characteristic of a population to be measured and how that measure will be represented". Shouldn't this a characteristic of Universe rather than Population?

Variable
use of a Concept as a characteristic of Unit Type intended to be observed The use of a Concept as a characteristic of a Population intended to be measured. (proposal from Metadata Glossary task team)
The Variable combines the meaning of a Concept with a Unit Type, to define the characteristic that is to be measured.
Represented Variable
combination of a characteristic of a population to be measured and how that measure will be represented
The Concepts are the ones linked to the Designation. So this is OK.
I would opt for "specialised Unit Type, by time or geography". Or replace "specification of Universe, by time or geography".
Notice that population here is lowercase, so it is about population from a broader term which, I am sure, leads to confusion. "combination of a characteristic of a Universe, to be measured and how that measure will be represented"
