9188 chassis not connecting #64

Can connect directly with laptop. Tested cable end to end and all pins are good.

Fixed this by right clicking on the device in NI-MAX and setting the proper IP address: 169.254.216.122. The only way I could figure out the IP was to plug in my laptop.

Not the cable, since it connected to my laptop with the same one. Looks like the IP is now 169.254.93.129.

Device keeps changing IP address, which cannot be detected by NI-MAX. However, the NI Network Browser seems to work.

Fixed this for good by switching to a static IP: 169.254.192.250.
