Literature review #3

We will need to start with a review on unsupervised image segmentation. A good starting point seems to be this review paper on unsupervised deep learning for medical image analysis. I focus more on medical images because:

  1. They are much closer to our images in structure than say images of cats and dogs.
  2. The domain is much bigger than granular materials, or maybe I just don't know how to look for the latter

The review paper wasn't that helpful. This paper is interesting though, I've summarized it here.
