identify_matches fails #16

Using identify_matches on ab_sigs in the MTL project fails:

> ab_matches <- identify_matches(ab_sigs)
Error: Can't subset elements that don't exist.                                                                                
x Location 2 doesn't exist.
ℹ There are only 1 element.
