Hey Team 8, aren't you guys working with team 11? Because I see 2 feature tickets named the same, "NPC".
@alexyun0429 we have 2 tickets as 2 teams worked on enemy and they had 2 tickets ... similarly we are planning to make different 2 NPC
Description
An NPC (non-playable characters) is a bonus feature inclusive to Sprint 3 hoping to advance the gamified approach and plotline of Atlantis Sinks. Seen across many video games, it is "a character that is controlled by the computer rather than by a player". In the case of Atlantis Sinks, NPC's are not necessarily playing the game against the main character, but rather will be used to support the main character as they fight to protect the crystal. This process will ultimately entail extensive work on design, functionality alongside well-structured testing and validation.
Sub Feature/component
Design the NPC Visual appearance of the non player character
Different directional sprites/ animations NPC will be animated to appear more lively and increase visual enjoyment for player
Spawning of NPC The number of NPC's spawned into the game will directly depend on the amount of buildings on the map. The game will start with little to no NPC and gradually spawn more NPC as the player begin to build Atlantis. This will give the player a sense of achievement as they visualise Atlantis slowly coming to life as a result of their hard work.
Conversation with NPC Players can interact and talk to NPC's. Through talking to NPCs, there is a chance that the player will get something in return.
