In the realm of naming is hard. I took me I think 5-10 minutes let my brain settle that this is an "Object lock" in the computer science sense and not the operations of a lock.
Any thoughts on a naming scheme we can use like maybe just "ObjectLock" or "DatabaseObjectLock" to make this more clear to the reader. After reviewing the initial Project code it dawned on me, as you saw in another comment, that it may be good to implement a more general distributed transaction system in the future, better names now would make that more practical.
